17 July 2023

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Monday that the Black Sea agreements, including the grain deal, have officially ceased to be in effect today. Peskov stated that the part of the agreement concerning Russia has not been fulfilled, leading to its termination.

"The deadline of July 17 has expired, and unfortunately, the part of the Black Sea agreement concerning Russia has not been fulfilled thus far. Therefore, it is being terminated," Peskov explained. He emphasized that the grain deal has come to a halt. However, Peskov added that as soon as the Russian obligations are fulfilled, Russia will immediately resume the implementation of the agreement.
