Pezeshkian: BRICS Cooperation Will End the Unipolar World

22 October

Cooperation among BRICS member states will lead to the end of the unipolar world and the era of American totalitarianism, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said as he prepared to depart for Kazan to attend the BRICS summit.

Pezeshkian, whose speech was broadcast by IRIB, stated that the leaders participating in the summit will present their vision for BRICS, suggesting that this event has the potential to overshadow the American-dominated unipolar world. He emphasized that BRICS represents a path toward liberation from American totalitarianism.

The Iranian leader acknowledged that the summit is taking place at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and is a meeting of countries aiming to establish a multipolar world. According to Pezeshkian, BRICS cooperation is essential for “unity and cohesion” and reducing dependence on the United States and the US dollar.

He also highlighted plans to reach significant agreements in the fields of energy, industry, trade, and tourism during the summit. Pezeshkian announced his intention to hold talks with Russian President Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
