"Algeria is keen for all Arab countries, without exception, to participate in the upcoming community summit," Tebboune stressed. - "The summit should be inclusive and inclusive, allowing inter-Arab relations to return to normal."

According to the agency, during the meeting the Algerian leader sent "his warmest greetings to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. He expressed his admiration for "the steadfastness of the Syrian people, their successes in the war against terrorism and in defending their sovereignty in the face of conspiracies."

For his part, Mekdad, who led the Syrian delegation to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Algeria's independence, noted "the need for the Arabs to join forces to repel Western hegemony."

The Arab League held a consultative meeting at the level of foreign ministers in Beirut on July 2 to prepare for the upcoming regional community summit in Algiers. As Secretary-General of the organizationAhmed Aboul Gheit told reporters, Syria "was not invited to the meeting, as its membership in the League has been frozen since 2011." The Egyptian diplomat explained that in order to return to the community, Damascus must comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2254, which is considered a road map for resolving the Syrian crisis.
