President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has arrived in Moscow on a working visit. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the leader of the republic.
"President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on May 25 on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin on a working visit. The head of state was met at the Vnukovo-2 international airport by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and other officials," the statement said.
As part of the visit, President Ilham Aliyev is expected to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with the mediation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. A bilateral meeting between Aliyev and Putin is also planned. It is expected that the president of Azerbaijan will participate as a guest in a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union.
