President of Kazakhstan vaccinated with Sputnik V vaccine

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has been vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine produced by the Karaganda pharmaceutical plant and is feeling well, his press secretary Berik Uali said on Tuesday.


"Today the head of state received the Sputnik V vaccine produced by the Karaganda pharmaceutical plant. After the vaccination, his well-being is good. There are no side effects," Uali wrote on his Facebook page.


According to Uali, the president is convinced that only the vaccination of citizens of Kazakhstan and the formation of collective immunity will allow to defeat the coronavirus, remove all restrictions, ensure the restoration of the normal life of citizens and economic activity.


"The head of state again urges all citizens to take the vaccine at the first opportunity. This is the only way to keep yourself and your loved ones safe. Earlier, the president instructed the government and local executive bodies to ensure the supply of vaccines from abroad and to establish domestic production and to organize the inoculation process," Uali noted.
