President of Kyrgyzstan discusses conflict on Tajik border with UN Secretary-General

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov during his meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres discussed the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in New York. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan. 

 
"As Sadyr Zhaparov noted, unfortunately, the meeting takes place amid the unprovoked aggression on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. He reminded that on September 14, 15, and 16, in violation of all previously reached agreements, the Tajik side attacked border and civilian objects along the entire perimeter of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border," the report reads.

 
The president's press service notes that during a meeting in the margins of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, "Antonio Guterres emphasized that he was looking forward to solving the issue of the borders between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan."
