Russian President Vladimir Putin ratified the Protocol on amendments to the Russian-Tajikistani agreement on petroleum product supply cooperation. The document, published on the official Internet portal of legal information, "provides for the possibility of updating the approved indicative balances, subject to reasonable changes in domestic consumption of petroleum products in Tajikistan, as well as establishes the obligation of the Tajik side to submit to the Russian side proposals for the formation of indicative balances for the next calendar year and information on the implementation of indicative balances for 9 months and their expected implementation for the current calendar year."
The Protocol also states that "the declaration of petroleum products exported from the territory of Russia to Tajikistan is carried out without the use of temporary periodic customs declaration established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, except for the case of export of petroleum products supplied by mixed modes of transport using pipeline transport in accordance with indicative balances".
