President of Tajikistan expressed his condolences in connection with Izhevsk tragedy

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday expressing his condolences in connection with the tragic events in Izhevsk. This was reported by the press service of the Tajikistan leader.


"With a sense of deep sadness, I took the tragic news of the inhumane act of armed attack on one of the schools in Izhevsk, which resulted in the death and serious injuries of dozens of children and adult citizens of the Russian Federation," Rahmon said in his message. - "I express to you, relatives and friends of the victims our sincere condolences and words of sympathy. To all the injured, I wish a speedy recovery."


On the morning of September 26 an armed attack on School № 88 in Izhevsk took place. According to the latest data, 17 people were killed. A criminal case was opened. Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov arrived in Izhevsk. A three-day mourning period was announced in the republic.
