President of Tatarstan has discussed cooperation with the Head of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Exchanges of Turkey

Today, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who heads the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", has met with Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Exchanges of Turkey, who arrived in the capital of the republic to attend the XIth International Economic Summit KazanSummit-2019.

 

 


According to the Press Office of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Turkish partners in the framework of Russian-Turkish relations.

 

 

“There is an agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey. The General Consulate of the Republic of Turkey operates in Kazan, our Representative successfully works in Istanbul. Not only our capital is twinned with a number of cities in Turkey, we have many contacts at the inter-municipal level. In total, 17 twinning agreements between Tatarstan and Turkish municipalities were concluded”, Rustam Minnikhanov noted, in particular.

 

 

He added that today the interaction between Tatarstan and Turkey is carried out in almost all sectors: energy, petrochemistry, construction, education, sports and many others.

 

 

Rifat Hisarciklioglu, in turn, thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the meeting and noted that Turkish companies highly value the attitude of Tatarstan to investors.

 

 

“When Turkish investors choose a platform for the implementation of their projects, Tatarstan is primarily considered,” he stressed.

 

 


It is worth noting that the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Stock Exchanges of Turkey is the country's largest non-governmental organization representing the interests of the private sector in Government bodies. Members of the Union are 365 regional chambers of commerce, industry, commerce and industry, as well as chambers of maritime trade and commodity exchanges.
