Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. According to the Kremlin press service, the main topic of discussion was the situation in Libya and coordination to stabilize the situation in this country.
"The two leaders spoke in detail about the settlement of the crisis in Libya. They confirmed their intent to further coordinate efforts in order to stabilise the situation in that country. The officials noted the importance of mediation efforts of Germany and the UN in promoting the political process with the participation of all the main Libyan parties", the message reads.
The two presidents agreed to maintain further contact.
