Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron. According to the press service of the Kremlin, the main topics of discussion were the situation in Ukraine and the Normandy format summit to take place in Paris on December 9.
Also, Putin and Macron discussed the situation in Syria including the launch of the Constitutional Committee under the auspices of the UN on November 4, and agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
"Further coordination between the work of French and Russian military agencies has been agreed to effectively counter terrorism in the region," the statement reads.
