Presidents of Russia and Indonesia agreed to jointly fight the coronavirus

Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.


The heads of state, according to the Kremlin's press service, discussed cooperation between the ministries of health in the fight against a new type of coronavirus.


"When discussing the coronavirus pandemic, the two presidents confirmed their intention for close cooperation in the fight against the infection. They also agreed, in particular, to step up contacts between the healthcare ministries of Russia and Indonesia," the message reads.


The two presidents also discussed cooperation in other areas.
