President of Turkmenistan notes Putin's contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday, noting his contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations, the Turkmenistan newspaper quoted the text of the message on Friday.

 

"On such a momentous day of your life, it is gratifying to note that the profound attention you pay to the strengthening and development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation is of great importance. Cooperation between our countries has a long-term perspective. And we are ready to make every effort to further expand it for the benefit of our peoples," the message says.

 

Berdimuhamedov wished Putin good health, happiness and success in responsible state activity, and progress and prosperity to the Russian people.

 

According to the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, on his birthday the president will be in St. Petersburg - in the middle of the day there will be an informal meeting of the CIS leaders. Several international telephone conversations will take place on that day.
