The Primakov readings Forum was held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Policy Conference. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in the meeting.

Speaking at the event, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed that Yevgeny Primakov "was a great man, a thinker and a practitioner".

"The multipolarity that Yevgeny Primakov has foreseen is formed in real life: in the field of economics, finance, and technology. Of course, along with this political influence comes - states that have achieved success in these areas would like to be more influential on the world stage. We record attempts to stop or slow down the process of forming multipolarity but they only delay the result and the "deal" (if we are talking about "deals" in this world). Thus, according to statistics from the International Monetary Fund, the total GDP of the BRICS countries is already higher than that of the Big seven countries. And this trend is likely to continue", Lavrov said, in particular.
