Prime Ministers of Russia and Tajikistan agreed to cooperate in the fight against the pandemic

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held telephone talks with his Tajik counterpart, Kokhir Rasulzoda. The main topic of discussion, as reported on the website of the Russian government, was the measures to combat coronavirus.


"The heads of government discussed measures to counteract the further spread of a new coronavirus infection. Kokhir Rasulzoda thanked the Russian side for the practical assistance provided to Tajikistan in the fight against coronavirus. During the conversation, the topic of returning home of Tajik citizens who are in Russia was also touched upon," the message reads, in particular.


Separately, the heads of governments discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation. Mishustin and Rasulzoda stressed the importance of maintaining the volume of commodity flows in mutual trade.
