Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently held a conversation to discuss various aspects of Russian-Turkish cooperation. According to the Kremlin's press service, the two leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and economic ties between Moscow and Ankara. They also discussed the progress of strategic joint projects in the energy sector and highlighted their cooperation in the tourism industry.
During the conversation, both parties expressed contentment with the continuous growth of trade turnover between the two countries. Notably, the trade turnover doubled by the end of the previous year, showcasing the positive trajectory of economic relations.
