President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held telephone talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.According to the Kremlin press service, the main topic of discussion was the situation in Syria. The Heads of state have exchanged views on the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone in connection with the frequent violations by radical armed groups of the cessation of hostilities regime.
Putin and Erdogan once again have emphasized the importance of close coordination of efforts between the two countries, including between the military departments, on various aspects of the Syrian settlement.
Meanwhile, as it is reported, the Leaders have discussed the political and trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Turkey, as well as other most pressing issues on the international agenda, agreeing on the continuation of intensive contacts.
