Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversation with the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. According to the Kremlin press service, the conversation took place at the initiative of the Emirates side. The main topic of discussion was the bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Persian Gulf.
“Topical issues of Russian-UAE cooperation were discussed, including the implementation of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Russia and the United Arab Emirates, signed following the talks between Vladimir Putin and Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Moscow a year ago. A positive assessment was given to the joint work on the development of relations in various fields", the press service of the head of the Russian state notes, in particular.
Regarding the situation in the Persian Gulf, the parties stressed the importance of maintaining stability and security in the area.
