Putin and Zhaparov discussed joint fight against coronavirus

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Acting President, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov the issues of the joint fight of countries against the coronavirus, the Kremlin's press service reported following a telephone conversation.


"The parties also addressed a number of practical issues on the bilateral agenda with an emphasis on trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as joint coronavirus response measures," the report says. It is noted that the conversation was initiated by the Kyrgyz side.


In his conversation with Zhaparov Putin expressed hope for stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan and the earliest possible settlement of domestic political problems. "Sadyr Zhaparov informed the President about developments in the republic, including the events that took place after the October parliamentary elections," the report says. - "The Russian side expressed hope for stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan and the earliest possible settlement of domestic political problems."


It is noted that among other topics the state and prospects of Russian-Kyrgyz relations were discussed. "The intention to continue systematic work to strengthen the alliance and strategic partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan was emphasized," the Kremlin added.
