The presence of Russian forces in Syria makes a tangible contribution to stability in that country, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Our military has acted with dignity, as befits Russian soldiers, in Syria. Their presence, their assistance to the civilian population in resolving humanitarian tasks makes a tangible contribution to strengthening stability in this Republic," he said at an expanded meeting of the Ministry of Defense.
