Russian President Vladimir Putin personally awarded President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov the Order of Honor during their talks.
As per a previously issued decree, the Order was conferred in recognition of Zhaparov's significant contributions to enhancing the strategic partnership and alliance between the countries and promoting integration efforts within the Eurasian region.
Putin arrived early in the morning for a two-day visit to Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek, the leaders engaged in discussions and participated in a ceremony for the signing of bilateral agreements. Putin and Zhaparov addressed the media with statements. Furthermore, both presidents participated in a commemorative event marking the 20th anniversary of the Russian military airbase in Kant.
On Friday, October 13, Putin and Zhaparov, joined by other CIS leaders, will partake in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State.
