President Vladimir Putin called on heads of regions to make decisions about lifting previously imposed restrictions on the coronavirus carefully and responsibly. He warned that errors could lead to a worsening situation and a rollback.

Now, according to the head of state, the situation with the coronavirus differs in every region.

“We see that the situation with the spread of the coronavirus in every subject of the federation is different. As already mentioned, somewhere tough, justified preventive measures must be maintained or even supplemented. And somewhere, perhaps, it is possible to plan certainly reasonable mitigation of them,” he said, in particular.

At the same time, the decision to cancel restrictive measures in connection with the coronavirus, according to the Russian leader, can only be based on the opinion of scientists.

The responsibility for each decision made in the fight against the coronavirus lies with the heads of regions and members of the government.

“Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Any negligence or haste can turn into a breakdown, rolling back. The price of the slightest mistake is the safety, life, and health of our people. Therefore, the responsibility for each decision made by both colleagues from the government and heads of regions is extremely high, ”Vladimir Putin emphasized.

Earlier today, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko stated that it is too early to talk about Russia’s entering the plateau of the incidence of the coronavirus since there is a daily increase in the number of cases.

The total number of infected in Russia, according to recent data, is approaching 166 thousand. More than one and a half thousand people died.
