Putin congratulated President of Turkmenistan on New Year

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on the New Year and noted that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the countries managed to achieve dynamic development of bilateral relations in 2021, the Kremlin press service reported.

 

"The congratulations addressed to Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov stressed that despite the difficult epidemic situation in the world, the outgoing year was marked by the dynamic development of Russian-Turkmenistan relations based on the principles of strategic partnership," the message said.

 

"Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Russia and Turkmenistan, by joint efforts, will be able to ensure further build-up of bilateral ties in all directions, as well as constructive cooperation in international affairs for the benefit of friendly peoples of both countries, in the interests of strengthening peace and stability in the Central Asian and Caspian regions," the press service added.
