Putin congratulated Tokayev on Kazakhstan's Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory telegram to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of the republic's national holiday, Independence Day. This was reported on Thursday by the Kremlin press service.


The Russian head of state praised the successes achieved by Kazakhstan in the economic, social, scientific, technical and other spheres, and also noted the country's high standing on the world stage.


"Relations between our states are developing dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. Bilateral cooperation in various directions, as well as cooperation within such structures as the EAEC, CSTO, CIS, SCO and UN," Putin stressed in his congratulatory message.


He expressed confidence in further consistent strengthening of constructive Russian-Kazakh ties "for the benefit of the friendly peoples of the two countries and in the interests of ensuring stability and security on the Eurasian continent".
