Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his congratulations to Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of Republic Day, highlighting the strong collaboration between Moscow and Astana aimed at bolstering Eurasian security.
"Moscow and Astana work closely within the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Union, the CSTO, the SCO, and other multilateral frameworks. I am confident that together we will strengthen the entire spectrum of our bilateral relations—for the benefit of our people and for the enhancement of security and stability across Eurasia," Putin stated in his message, which was published by the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
The Russian president praised Kazakhstan's "impressive achievements in social and economic spheres," adding that the country plays a vital and constructive role in both regional and international matters.
Putin also noted that Russian-Kazakh relations "continue to thrive in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance." He wished President Tokayev good health and success and extended his best wishes for "happiness and prosperity" to the people of Kazakhstan.
On October 25, Kazakhstan celebrates Republic Day, commemorating the 1990 declaration by the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR on the republic's sovereignty.
