Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte.
The main topic of discussion, according to the Kremlin's press service, was the situation in Libya.
"Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte at the initiative of the Italian side," the message reads.
Putin and Conte, as noted, exchanged views on developments in Libya, including in the context of implementing the results of the international conference held in Berlin on January 19.
"Both sides expressed their interest in continuing joint work towards long-term normalization in Libya. Several matters of Russian-Italian cooperation were also touched upon. It was agreed to maintain contacts at various levels".
