The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated on September 27 and active battles started on the disputed territory. The sides reported killed and wounded, including among the civilian population. Ceasefire agreements have been reached three times already, but almost immediately the parties to the conflict began exchanging mutual accusations of violating them.
