Russian President Vladimir Putin in telephone conversations with Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders over the past two days discussed the work of Russian peacekeepers, humanitarian aid and economic interaction in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Kremlin's press service reports.
"The parties spoke about the modalities of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh and further measures to provide humanitarian aid to the people," the Kremlin's press service reported following telephone conversations of the Russian leader with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on November 23 and 24.
"Other issues addressed included economic interaction and reopening transport routes in the region," the Kremlin added.
In addition, Putin discussed with Aliyev and Pashinyan the implementation of the Statement signed by the leaders of the three countries, as well as the results of the November 21 visits by a Russian interdepartmental delegation to Yerevan and Baku.
On November 9, Putin, Aliyev and Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the agreements, the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides stop at occupied positions and Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region.
