Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed deep condolences to President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan in connection with the consequences of avalanches in the republic. The telegram was published Thursday on the Kremlin website.
"Dear Emomali Sharipovich, please accept deep condolences in connection with the tragic consequences of avalanches in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region," the message reads.
The president also wished a speedy recovery to all those who suffered as a result of the natural disaster, asking to convey the words of sincere sympathy to the families and friends of the victims.
