Putin hopes for development of relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Zhaparov on the upcoming holidays, noting the positive dynamics in the development of relations between the countries and expressed hope that cooperation will increase in the future.


"In his New Year greetings to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized the positive dynamics of Russian-Kyrgyz relations based on the principles of friendship, alliance and strategic partnership," the Kremlin said in a statement.


As noted, Putin stressed that last year trade, economic, humanitarian and interregional ties were strengthened, interaction within the framework of Eurasian integration processes, coordination of efforts in the fight against the pandemic coronavirus infection.


"The Russian president expressed his hope that in the coming year, the multifaceted bilateral cooperation will continue to grow for the benefit of the Russian and Kyrgyz peoples as well as in the interests of strengthening stability and security in the Central Asian region," the message reads.
