Putin Hosts Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Kremlin

21 August

Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently meeting with Li Qiang, the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, at the Kremlin. Li Qiang is in Russia at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Before his meeting with President Putin, Li Qiang and Prime Minister Mishustin co-chaired the 29th regular meeting of Russian and Chinese government leaders. During this meeting, they discussed expanding cooperation in trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian efforts. Special attention was given to advancing joint projects in key sectors such as industry, energy, agriculture, and transportation.

This is not the first time Putin and Li Qiang have met this year. They previously met in May during Putin's state visit to China, where the Russian leader extended an invitation for Li Qiang to visit Moscow.
