Putin invites Turkmen president to visit Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdymukhamedov had a telephone conversation on Friday. According to the Kremlin press service, the two leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and Putin also invited his colleague to visit Russia.


"The sides discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda and prospects for cooperation in regional formats, including within the framework of the Caspian Five," the statement reads.

 

 

The press service noted that the Turkmen president gratefully accepted the invitation to visit Russia.
