Putin meets Algerian President in Kremlin

The ceremony of the official meeting of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune with Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

 

The Algerian leader arrived at the main entrance of the Grand Kremlin Palace and walked up the grand staircase to the second floor. Putin and Tebboune walked towards each other from different ends of the hall. The flags of Russia and Algeria were placed in the center and the leaders met by them and greeted each other with a handshake and exchanged a few remarks. An orchestra played the national anthems of the two countries. Members of both delegations were also present.

 

 

The leaders then proceeded together to the talks in a narrow format, followed by the delegations.

 

Later, extended talks and joint document signing will take place. The leaders will also issue a joint statement.

 

Tebboune  arrived in Russia on a state visit on June 13. On Wednesday, he met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
