Russian-Azerbaijani talks in Moscow and Sochi confirmed the strength of the strategic partnership between the two countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his New Year's greetings to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
"The congratulatory message to President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan notes that the meetings of the heads of the two states in Moscow and Sochi in the outgoing year have fully confirmed the strength of the strategic partnership between Russia and Azerbaijan. The hope was expressed for the continuation of constructive dialogue and close joint work to further build up the whole range of Russian-Azerbaijani ties - this, as emphasized, meets the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two states," the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
