Putin Orders Additional Funding for Promotion of Russian Language in CIS and Beyond

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the allocation of additional funds to promote the Russian language in CIS member states and other countries. This directive is outlined in a recent list of instructions published on the Kremlin's website.

 

The instructions pertain to measures to be developed by the government and the State Council as part of the national project "Youth and Children." Specifically, the directive calls for ensuring additional budgetary allocations from the federal budget for the years 2025-2030 to support the promotion of the Russian language in the Commonwealth of Independent States and other foreign countries.
