Russian President Vladimir Putin has relieved Valeryan Shuvaev of his post as ambassador to Morocco and appointed him to perform the same duties in Algeria. This follows a decree by the head of state published on Friday on the official portal of legal information.
"To release Valeryan Vladimirovich Shuvaev from the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Morocco," the document reads.
Another presidential decree appoints Shuvaev as Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. He will replace Igor Belyaev in this position.
In accordance with the presidential decree, Vladimir Baibakov was appointed ambassador to Morocco instead of Shuvaev.
Valerian Shuvaev was born in 1955. He is a graduated of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He joined the diplomatic service in 1977. He served in various positions at the central office of the ministry of foreign affairs and abroad, including deputy director of the Middle East and North Africa department.
Vladimir Baibakov was born in 1958. Hd graduated from MGIMO. Previously held various diplomatic positions, including senior adviser at the Russian embassy in the United States, division chief and deputy director of the Middle East and North Africa department.
