Russian President Vladimir Putin has been reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the results of the Russian-Ukrainian talks held the day before, but it is too early to give an assessment, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"Certainly, the president has been reported," he said. "Medinsky reported personally and, in addition, in writing," Peskov replied to a clarifying question.
"It is too early to make any assessments now, we would not like to do so prematurely. We have to analyze them and then think about the prospects," the Kremlin spokesman added.
At the same time, the Kremlin does not assess the course of the special operation in Ukraine, this is the sole prerogative of the Ministry of Defense. So Peskov responded to a question about how the Kremlin assesses the success of the military operation.
"We are not authorized to give any assessments, and it is not in our competence. The progress of the military campaign, the special operation is exclusively the prerogative of the Defense Ministry," the Kremlin spokesman said, recommending that the Defense Ministry be consulted for assessments and comments.
