Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a greeting to the participants of the "School of a Hero" forum. This was reported on the "United Russia" party's Telegram channel on Friday.
"I consider the holding of the forum a significant, popular initiative designed to make a great contribution to the education of children and young people, to unite to achieve these noble goals the creative potential of public, volunteer, general educational organizations, which bear the names of legendary heroes. Our country has at all times been famous for its bright, talented, spiritually strong people. Their bravery, labor achievements will forever remain in the memory of the people. We are proud of the soldiers who are nowadays protecting the security and national interests of our homeland. It is gratifying that the long-standing tradition of naming schools after outstanding contemporaries has received widespread support. There are more than 6 thousand of such educational institutions," the head of state said in the message.
The forum "School of a Hero" is held on Friday at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill. The event is organized by the Ministry of Education and the "United Russia". It will discuss the projects of patriotic education. During the event, a number of schools will be named after the Heroes of Russia who died in the SMO.
