Putin: Russia to expand cooperation with Tunisia

Russia is ready to expand bilateral cooperation with Tunisia and to work together on topical regional issues, including the Libyan settlement, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the presentation of foreign ambassadors’ letters of credence today.


"We are ready to further expand our bilateral cooperation with Tunisia, one of Russia's traditional partners in the Middle East and North Africa. We are ready to work together on topical regional issues, including the Libyan settlement, " the Russian leader said.


The ceremony took place today in the Kremlin.


The event was attended by diplomatic representatives of 23 countries, including Muslim ones-Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Iran, Bangladesh and Kazakhstan. In addition, the ambassadors of the United States, France, Great Britain, Sweden, China, New Zealand, Canada, Greece, etc. presented their credentials to the Russian President.
