Putin spoke on the phone to the King of Jordan

Russian President Vladimir Putin and King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed over the phone the consolidation of efforts in the fight against the coronavirus, as well as current regional issues, including the situation in Syria and Libya, the Kremlin's press service reports.



"The parties discussed measures taken by the two countries to combat the coronavirus.  Both sides noted the importance of consolidation of the international community's efforts to overcome the consequences of the pandemic and expressed readiness to participate in such joint work," the report says.



In addition, the leaders "exchanged views on topical issues of the regional agenda, in particular, the situation in Syria, Libya and the Middle East settlement.



According to the Kremlin, it was agreed "to continue contacts at various levels".
