17 April 2020

At a meeting on the construction and re-profiling of medical institutions in the regions of Russia, President Vladimir Putin noted that the peak of the coronavirus in the country has not yet passed.

"The risks associated with the spread of the epidemic are still very high, the peak has not yet passed, the number of cases is growing, and not only in Moscow but also in many other regions of the Federation," he said, in particular.

In this regard, the head of state stressed that there is still a lot to do in connection with the coronavirus, both throughout the country and in each individual region.

Moreover, the problem of the coronavirus, according to the President, "went away" from Moscow to the regions.

"I want to emphasize once again that Moscow was the first to face this problem, as I said, but we see that this problem goes to the regions and we need people in each region to be ready to overcome all the difficulties that may arise there. In each!", Putin concluded.

In Russia, according to the latest data, more than 32 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 273 people died.
