The situation with the coronavirus is changing every not for the better, Russian President Vladimir Putin told a meeting via videoconference on the sanitary and epidemiologic situation in Russia.
"The number of sick people is increasing along with the number of serious cases. The next few weeks will largely determine the situation," Putin said, adding that the authorities should work as efficiently as possible.
In particular, the government should make an objective forecast on the development of the situation every day and continue to coordinate the work of medical institutions-promptly send supplies of masks and protective suits for doctors, reserves of ventilators and medicines.
In order to avoid a deficit, Putin suggested "thinking about centralized procurement and formation of a single federal reserve" of protective equipment, equipment and medicines.
In Russia, according to the latest data, 21102 cases of coronavirus were detected, 170 people died.
