Putin wished Biden a Happy New Year

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated US President Joe Biden on the New Year, noting that Russia and the United States can and should cooperate constructively, joining efforts in the face of challenges, the Kremlin press service reported.

 

It is emphasized that in his congratulatory message, Putin noted that "Russia and the United States, as countries with special responsibility for international and regional stability, can and should cooperate constructively, joining efforts in the face of the many challenges and threats facing humanity."

 

"I am convinced that as we build on our agreements reached during the June summit in Geneva and subsequent contacts, we can move forward and establish an effective Russian-American dialogue based on mutual respect and consideration of each other's national interests," the telegram reads.
