Diplomatic efforts are the only means to resolve the conflicts in the Gaza Strip and Ukraine, stated Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. He made this statement during a joint press conference with Spain's Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, in Madrid.
"We in the State of Qatar believe that achieving an immediate, urgent, and sustainable ceasefire is the only way to de-escalate conflicts on all fronts, and that diplomacy is the only way to end all these conflicts and wars," he emphasized, highlighting the negative impact of the hostilities in the Gaza Strip and Ukraine on civilians.
In this context, the prime minister noted that Qatar participated in the international conference on Ukraine, held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, to "urge all parties to adhere to the UN Charter and international law, and to seek a peaceful resolution based on a commitment to settle international disputes through peaceful means."
