Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, praised Russia's constructive stance on the Palestinian issue, particularly during the recent escalation in the Gaza Strip.
“I would like to highlight Russia's positive stance in supporting a fair solution to the Palestinian issue, especially during the recent developments in the Gaza Strip,” Sheikh Mohammed stated during a meeting of the Russia-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strategic dialogue held in Saudi Arabia.
He acknowledged Russia's “consistent position” on the need for a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Sheikh Mohammed also commended Russia's approach to the Gaza situation, stressing that Moscow advocates for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, humanitarian aid to the population, and the prevention of a large-scale war in the region.
