Quran is read 24 hours a day in Moscow Cathedral mosque in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, Russian Muftis Council website reports.
"Starting from March 17, with the blessing of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, verses of the Holy Quran are read 24 hours a day in the Moscow Cathedral mosque... These days, the reading is intended to become a form of our common appeal to the Almighty Allah in connection with the spread of the coronavirus around the world," the message reads, in particular.
Earlier, the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation recommended to cancel or postpone all public events.
