Record number of tourists from Russia visited Turkey

According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, the number of international visitors to Turkey surged 14.3% year-on-year to 40.7 million since the beginning of the year.

Russian tourists topped the list with 6.7 million, marking a 16.9% increase. They were followed by Germany,  Great Britain, Bulgaria, Iran, etc.

The average tourist spends $ 649 in Turkey.
