Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Russia Hamed Hamooni.
During the conversation, the officials discussed the further development of traditionally friendly bilateral relations including the expanding of bilateral political dialogue and the schedule of upcoming meetings considering the results of the presidential elections held on June 2019.
Special attention was paid to the exchange of views on key aspects of the situation in North Africa and the Sahara-Sahel zone.
