Relations between Tehran and Moscow are developing in right direction, Iranian MFA says

Russia and Iran are developing relations in the right direction, cooperation in tourism and investments should get more impetus. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said this on Wednesday at a meeting with Head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Leonid Slutsky.


"Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation are going in the right direction," the Iranian minister said. - "Contacts between high-ranking officials of our countries at various levels have been accelerated. There are more and more meetings. The leaders of our countries are regularly in touch, and we are very happy about this."


Abdollahian stressed that the summits between Russia and Iran have ensured "progress and diversification of topics" in the bilateral dialogue. He separately noted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the economic sphere. "We are interested in developing the infrastructure for further development of relations between our countries in the field of tourism, in the field of investments. These spheres should get even more impetus," summarized the head of the Iranian diplomatic mission.
