Representatives of the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation discussed the development of the Halal industry with a delegation from Malaysia

The Moscow Cathedral mosque hosted a meeting of representatives of the the Russia Muftis Council (RMC) and the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation (RBMRF) with a delegation from Malaysia headed by Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Export Development Department of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz.

 

 

 

According to the press service of the RMC, the delegation was received by Advisor to the Chairman of the RMC and the RBMRF on Halal industry development, the head of the International Center for Halal Standardization and Certification Aidar Gazizov and the head of the International Department of the RMC and the RBMRF Ildar Galeev.

 

 

 


During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current situation in the Halal industry in the world, stressing the high level of cooperation between the MATRADE and the RMC.

 

 



Gazizov noted that Malaysian companies take part in the Moscow Halal Expo exhibition. The delegations of the RMC and the "Halal” international center annually participate in the largest international exhibition of Halal products and healthy food in Kuala Lumpur MIHAS.

 

 

 

In addition, Russian companies already supply their products to Malaysia and other countries in the region. Trade turnover is expected to increase in the near future.

 

 

 

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand and deepen cooperation.
